Arrived in France with his wife and children in 1981, Mr. Axel Grondin opened the Filaos restaurant in 1985. At the time, it was the only Reunionese restaurant in the Rhône-Alpes region. Les Filaos quickly became famous in Lyon, thanks to the quality of its cuisine, the preserved authenticity of the dishes and the welcome given to customers.

In December 2005, the restaurant was taken over by his son, Johan. Proud of his origins and the family heritage represented by the Filaos, he takes care to perpetuate the values initiated by his father.
